Undocumented immigrants can get licenses. ICE can get their data.

This public records-driven investigation highlights the federal immigration agency's hypocrisy surrounding information requests. Undocumented immigrants can receive driver's licenses in multiple states across the country, and ICE asks DMVs for information solely for immigration enforcement purposes – though they say they don't.

Georgia Republicans want to reshape voting laws, burdening voters of color

I did the data analysis for this story, determining longer wait times in Georgia counties with high populations of voters of color, which shaped the piece. I sourced for all on-the-ground voices in this piece and filled in every gap with shoeleather reporting, ultimately bringing this story to life. I was (and am) grateful to report on this important topic with two brilliant senior reporters from CPI and GPB.
